The reusable cup for coffee machines

Enjoying coffee can be eco-friendly too

Coffee is popular

Coffee is the most popular hot beverage in Germany. In 2022, an average of four cups of coffee per day were consumed. A large proportion of this number was consumed at work or while on the go. The coffee machine is a popular gathering point for a quick coffee in many public buildings such as hospitals or universities and in companies. A press on the button, the cup drops down and is filled with a hot drink. The lifespan of a coffee machine cup is no more than 15 minutes before it is thrown into the nearest bin. The environmental protection organisation Global 2000 calculated that 100,000 cups produce 900 kilos of rubbish and 7750 kilos of CO2 equivalent.

Reusable machine cups

Our latest development is a reusable machine cup which, thanks to its sophisticated design, fits existing machine models. With it, the switchover from disposable to reusable becomes an easy process. In most cases, there is no need to convert the existing coffee machine. The plastic cup can be reused up to 400 times in a cycle before being recycled. We also offer the option of customising the reusable cup with a preferred choice of colour or a print of a company logo. Alongside the reusable machine cup, we are also closing another important gap: the logistics of cleaning and resupplying the reusable cups. Depending on the requirements and the size of the company, we can drop by weekly, pick up the dirty cups and drop off hygienically cleaned ones. For smaller companies, we also offer support with installing an in-house washing system with specialist detergent and drying facilities.

The future is reusable

Added to this is the fact that the European Union wants to dramatically reduce single-use products by 2025. Even paper cups which, due to their plastic coating, end up being incinerated. So the alternative is clear: reusable products. The trend is already here, and consumers want reusable solutions. This is the right path for a more environmentally friendly Germany.
